Ok folks while this is not normally the era of reading I would do I have to admit that I was intrigued and taken with the setting and story of this book. The setting for the book where Nancy was already set to fail had me a little worries but have no fears Marco who honestly at first I thought was going to be a shady person came in and took her under his wing. The adventure, lust and love found between these two was sweet. Not as hard core as some of the other books by this author but still a very good read as well as informative.Product details

I normally don't read historical romances but I was presently surprised. This was different from the author's normal writing but it worked. I liked how she gave a historical background before getting into the main story. It was written well and I really fell in love with the main characters. I wasn't born during this time and it made me think how many people this situation happened to.
I probably wouldn't have read this story normally, it was added to the end of another story. It was a very nice story. Had me hooked early on learning a lot about Cuba and wanting the main characters to be happy. The love story was sweet and romantic. I really did enjoy this story. Might dabble a little into historical romances to find another like this one.
Not a bad read if you want to read about Cuban history. I found that there was much more about that than anything else and since I already know all of that, I wasn't that crazy about it.
This was both a sweet and interesting story. There are lots of facts about Cuban history which is interesting, and the romance between Nancy and Marco is sweet and fulfilling.
It's nice going back in time. I think I'm going to start reading more historical romances!
I managed to reach the end because my curiosity pushed me, but was sorely tempted to stop reading after page 10. Don't recommend it at all. Loyalty, beliefs and love for one country is one thing, raw stupidity and a hero complex from the author to make the ridiculous possible is another thing.
